WATCH / FAREWELL TO AN ICON

"Here is a test to find out whether your mission in life is complete.
If you’re alive, it isn’t."

- Lauren Bacall

It was Bacall’s work as a model, and in particular her appearance on a Harper's Bazaar cover in 1943, that this true Hollywood beauty and film icon first caught the eye of many with her flawless/famous ‘look’ and deep toned voice; starring in such films as The Big Sleep (1946), Dark Passage (1947) and Key Largo (1948).

It was the 1953 comedic outing How to Marry a Millionaire, co-starring Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe, with Bacall playing a suave mastermind, that made us fall in awe of this screen legend.

“I think your whole life shows in your face and you should be proud of that.”
