THE - WHAT’S UNDERNEATH PROJECT - founded in 2009 by Elisa and her daughter Lily.

During the 80s and 90s, Elisa was a Fashion Stylist and Editor for numerous top fashion magazines, including - Vanity Fair, Interview, In Style, Glamour.

Eliza shared, that after she and her daughter Lily both experienced their own personal struggle within the confines of the current fashion landscape and who both have a passionate interest in those who expressed themselves consciously through clothing, decided to pick up their home-video camera and began documenting the individuals who genuinely inspired them.

Their ‘What’s Underneath Project’ shows a host of diverse women (many recovering from issues related to body image), bravely take their clothes off for the world to see, whilst being interviewed. This project was part of a deeply intimate, new video / web series about body image.

See the beautiful video of Jacky O'Shaughnessy - one of many interviewed, who is currently a model for American Apparel.
