On our recent trip to Melbourne we had the pleasure of viewing AW15 collections.
After popping into some of our favourite stores and eating stops, we sat down with Dayne, Zambesi’s Menswear Designer, in the stunning Zambesi store on Flinders Lane, to be shown through the women’s AW15 collection which celebrates Zambesi's 35th year in business.
Black took second place to shades of blues, which featured strongly in the collection, while touches of olive and dirty, muted soft browns appeared on boiled, pilled-wool car coats and oversized knits with XXXV emblazoned across the front... all so cool and beautifully styled!
From there onto the NOM*d showing which was such a strong diverse range, where the design team went back into the archives and redesigned some incredible, old favourites.
Stepping away from the strong trend of prints we have seen in their recent collections to a strong palette featuring deep ink blues also found in Zambesi’s collection.
Floor-length trench coats accompanied cropped, Japanese-influenced pants, fingerless gloves and kilts, military-style pants and of course their signature stencilled tees.
S2 is in for an amazing Autumn Winter 2015 with these two New Zealand favourites!
